Positions for visiting scientists at Johannes Kepler Universität

The EU-funded Initial Training Network SAGA (www.saga-network.eu) is looking for promising candidates to fill its available positions. In particular, the following positions are available at the Institute of Applied Geometry, Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria, (www.ag.jku.at):
  • 1 or 2 positions for "visiting scientists" for a duration of up to two months.

The successful candidates will contribute to workpackages 1 (Change of Representation) and 3 (Algebraic Geometry for CAD Applications) of SAGA.

For all positions, the time of employment must end not later than October 31, 2012. All candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria as described in Section III.3(2) of Annex III: Specific Provisions, Marie Curie Initial training networks, which is available at ftp://ftp.cordis.europa.eu/pub/fp7/docs/fp7-mga-annex3intramulti_en.pdf

Advances in Computational Mechanics (ACM 2013) — A Conference Celebrating the 70th Birthday of Thomas J.R. Hughes will be held on February 24-27, 2013, at Omni San Diego Hotel, in San Diego, California. The 17th International Conference on Finite Elements in Flow Problems (FEF 2013) will be a special track within the birthday celebration conference.
